Do you sell rings in my size?

Most rings can be re-sized to fit. We offer this service free-of-charge.

If a gift I’ve bought is not quite right, can it be returned?

We’re happy to provide a credit for items returned in their original condition. Items must be returned as soon as possible after purchase and before the 10th of the month.

Where are you?

We’re at 48 Victoria Street in the Wellington CBD, within easy walking distance of the main shopping precincts on Lambton Quay and Willis Street. AVID Gallery is opposite Wellington Police Station and just up from the Wellington Central Library.

Do you do online sales?

We believe that choosing an artwork is a very personal thing and that the aesthetic experience of visiting the gallery in person and getting the best advice is an important part of making the right choice. For that reason, we don’t believe that buying works of art sits comfortably with the “click & collect” approach of e-commerce. However we also appreciate that many of our clients are not based in Wellington. For those people who are unable to visit the gallery in person we offer a highly personalised service including providing images and other information about the range of options we have available.

If the piece I like is no longer available, can you get me another one?

Due to the natural turnover of artworks in the gallery, some of the work featured on our website may no longer be available. If the piece you’re interested in has already been sold, we can suggest alternative work either by the same artist or in a similar style. Many of our artists will also accept commissions to re-make specific pieces or to create new work specifically for you. Please contact us if you are interested in a private commission.

Is everything on your website for sale?

Our website is designed to showcase the work of each individual artist. The work shown includes pieces that are currently available and previous work which (in most cases) can be commissioned through the gallery. Generally speaking if the listed work includes a price, it is currently available.

Is there parking nearby?

Street parking is available in Victoria Street and nearby Harris Street. There is a multi-storey carpark one block away on the corner of Victoria and Willeston Streets. There is a loading zone directly in front of the gallery.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Gift vouchers are available for any amount of your choosing. Vouchers can be emailed to you if you’re not in Wellington. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

How do I buy

Do you accept lay-bys?

Lay-bys are welcome. We ask for a deposit of one-third with the balance paid over two months.

We accept all major credit cards, cash and direct deposit to our bank account.

Do you ship work overseas?

We have clients all over the world and offer a full professional packing and shipping service, including in transit insurance. We are happy to provide an overseas shipping quote on request.

Do you ship within New Zealand?

We courier work to clients anywhere in New Zealand. This is usually an overnight service.
