Chris Weaver has earned a reputation as one of New Zealand’s best potters in a career spanning more than 40 years.  

He graduated from Otago Polytechnic in 1976 with a Diploma in Fine and Applied Arts with Distinction in Design and Sculpture and over the years has won many awards and accolades for his work.

He has been invited to exhibit in China on two separate occasions and has been selected for artist residencies in China, the US and Australia.

Weaver is particularly known for the refined beauty of his faceted salt-fired teapots and vessels.

His work is represented in private collections and museums throughout New Zealand, Australia, China and Japan.
