Liz Sharek

 Liz Sharek moved to New Zealand from London in the 1990’s and undertook full-time study in craft and design at Unitec Institute of Technology in Auckland.

Working originally with kiln-formed contemporary glass, her art practice has developed over time to include the use of clay.

Sharek has exhibited widely in New Zealand and overseas and her work is held in a number of significant public collections including the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa and the prestigious Glasmuseet Ebeltoft Glass Museum in Denmark.

Sharek obtained a Masters Degree in Art and Design from Auckland University of Technology in 2008 and now works from her home-based studio in Matakana.
